Travel insurance for the over 50's is readily available but once the age of 65 is reached a number of companies stop offering travel insurance cover and for those over seventy or eighty the position worsens. John Lewis travel insurance offer single trip european and worldwide travel insurance up to the age of 85 and annual up to the age of 75.

Marks and Spencer annual travel insurance has an age limit of 75 for travel to USA, Canada and the Caribbean and 80 for travellers to Europe and the rest of the world.

M&S are currently offering a 15% online discount.


Post Office

Travel Insurance from the Post Office is available online for those under the age of 65. To qualify you must live in the UK (including the Channel Islands and Isle of Man).
