National Friendly 50+ Life Plan.

The National Friendly 50+ Life plan is an Over 50 life insurance policy designed for those aged over 50 only. It is available to UK residents aged between 50-79 and no medical is required. National Friendly offers fixed premiums for life with the policy and lower premiums for non smokers. Premiums start from £10 per month up to a maximum of £40. The National Friendly life insurance premiums also stop once you reach the age of 90 but cover continues and also if you enter a nursing home on your doctor’s advice and have held your policy for 10 years, premiums will stop but your cover continues. Remember that as this is a life insurance plan you can cancel your plan within the first 30 days and receive a full refund of any premiums paid. If you cancel after 30 days, you won’t receive any money. That’s because your plan has no value except upon your death. The National Friendly was established in 1868 originally as the Surrey County Benefit Society and 3 years later the name of the society was changed to reflect this and became National Deposit Friendly Society.
